Ardea is an applied AI research lab focused on evolutionary methods and shared conceptual representations. We build AI that extends people rather than replacing them.
Our long-term question is artificial consciousness; our day-to-day work is first-principles experimentation, careful engineering, and a bias toward quality over hype.

We are wrapping up the research needed to move our first product beyond hypothesis. The foundation comes first, and we only speak once it is solid.
Research
Research is the core: we explore evolutionary search and shared conceptual substrates so AI systems can be interpretable, composable, and aligned with human experience. We separate understanding from task solving and validate ideas in small, rigorous experiments.

I experience, therefore I am. Inspired by the process of natural selection, utilizing hierarchical genetic algorithms to evolve both the architecture and hyper-parameters of neural networks for atomic parts of a problem. Composed into full solutions. By digitizing and optimizing this process, we aim to discover highly efficient and powerful network configurations that surpass human-designed models and solve for novel problems.
